In the year 346, at the age of 76, Saint Nicholas passed away. He is recognized by all christianity as the forerunner to the idea of Santa Claus and today is his feast day. Saint Nicholas was a woodworker with a reputation for secret gift-giving.
Today i will remember how important it is to give without expecting notice, or recognition. i will also think about how many people have real needs that go unmet each day: physical, spiritual, emotional and that i haave been greatly blessed to have a roof over my head, food, friends and faith.
