today is the day. time for us all to come together andrecord our choices. it is such an amazing gift to have a voice in our government- thank you to all the men and women who came before me and helped secure my right to vote...
yesterday, with three of the four kids in the car, we pulled up to an intersection where people were campaigning for No on Prop 8. We rolled down the windows and asked if we could have one of their signs. they took one look at our car, which has No on Prop 8 painted on the windows, and started to call over their friends. then one of them looked at joe and said, "is that your mom?" joe said yes and the guy said, "you should be proud of her, she's really brave." it was a great moment for these really nice guys to realize that all kinds of people support their right to equality.
one more time...here it is...KNOW HOPE! YES.WE.CAN.
